Minga Debuts In Amazon.com's Top 20 Chart

Seattle, WA -- (April 20, 2004) -- Just over two weeks after the release of her debut CD, Flipside (FUA Records), neo-soul/jazz recording artist Minga has hit the charts on Amazon.com's Early Adopter Indie Top 20. Flipside placed ahead of chart fixtures such as Pearl Jam and indie favorite Alexi Murdoch. Minga's ranking in the chart is based on Flipside's sales through Amazon.com since the CD's Internet release date.

"Early Adopters" -- corporate America's most coveted consumers -- are defined by the dominant role that music and technology plays in their daily lives. On average, these tastemakers attend concerts and night clubs 4 nights a week; they also purchase significantly more new music, tech gadgets, software, and magazines than the average consumer. Their purchasing decisions provide retail with its best resource for identifying future marketplace trends.

Minga, whose jazz-infused, downtempo songs are riding the playlists of lounge DJs in California, is garnering rave reviews and press coverage about her CD in publications across the US, including Music Connection, Cleveland Free Times, San Francisco Examiner, and the San Diego Union-Tribune. Minga is currently on a promotional tour in support of "Flipside," which includes guest DJ gigs at various nightclubs in the Southwest.
